Author Guidelines

The author prepares the text of the scientific article manuscript in strict accordance with the "Requirements for the design of the article" for publication in the journal «The Phenomenon of Law and Legislation: Strategies and Methods of Cognition» and send it to the editorial board in electronic form.

The article submitted for publication must be original, not previously published or submitted for review elsewhere. If any copyrighted images are used, permission to use them should also be attached to the text of the article.

The author sends to the chief editor a cover letter in the prescribed form (Appendix), in which he substantiates the need to publish materials, as well as indicates the title of the article, personal data (full name and middle name) and the topic of scientific research in accordance with the current nomenclature of scientific specialties.

Accompanying documents to the manuscript of the article should include: the author's certificate for each author (full name, degree, title, place of work, address of the place of work, link to the profile in the RSCI, link to the profile in Scopus).

A contact phone number and e-mail address should be provided separately for prompt communication.

The list of materials required for publication of a scientific article

The author (authors) according to the following requirements should prepare the necessary materials: manuscript of the article and accompanying documents to it.

The manuscript and accompanying documents should be submitted in electronic form.

Authors submit manuscripts to the editorial board strictly according to the rules of registration of materials given in Appendix 1.

Submitted articles should correspond to the structure given in Appendix 2 (full name, place of work of all authors, title and abstract of the article, key words should be in Russian and English, e-mail address).

The bibliography is given after the text of the article in accordance with GOST R 7.05-2008 in a unified format established by RSCI. Examples of bibliographical references are given in Appendix 3.

After receiving the materials, the manuscript is sent for reviewing.

After receiving a positive review, the editorial board notifies the authors that the article has been accepted for publication, as well as the reviewers' and editors' comments, according to which the article should be corrected and supplemented. In case of refusal to publish the article, the editorial board sends a reasoned refusal to the author.

The authors are responsible for the selection and accuracy of facts, quotations, statistical and sociological data, proper names, place names and other information. The editors reserve the right to make editorial corrections. The editors may publish materials that do not share the author's point of view (as a matter of discussion).

No more than one article by one author can be published in one issue of the journal.

Full-text versions of articles, abstracts, keywords, information about the authors in Russian and English are freely available on the Internet on the official website of the publication.

The order of submission of scientific article materials to the editorial board

Dear authors, in order to save time, please follow the rules for the design of articles in the journal.

 

Appendix 1

Rules of registration of materials

Articles are submitted by e-mail to the editorial board : civil.pravo@mail.ru and are arranged as follows.

Formatting of the text of the article:

- Full articles are accepted on no more than 14 pins on  A4 pages.

- Margins: 3 cm on the left, 1.5 cm on the right, 2 cm on the top and bottom.

- The main text of the article is typed in Word editor.

- The font of the main text is Times New Roman. The text is typed in 14 pins, line spacing is single-spaced.  For uniformity of style do not use font emphasis (italics, underlines, etc.). Indent (paragraph) - 1.25 cm.

 Use parentheses for references to literary sources (Ivanov, 1908: 12). The bibliography is given in 14 pins at the end of the article, strictly in alphabetical order without numbering. The footnotes are page-by-page, at the bottom of the page.

The article should contain the UDC code, the title of the article, full name of the authors (in full), academic degree, academic rank, position, name of the organization where the work was done, abstract (0.5 page) and keywords (in Russian and English in 10 words each), e-mail address.

Graphic design of the article:

 Illustrations are made in vector format in the graphic editor Corel Draw 11.0, or in any of the graphic applications MS Office 97, 98, 2000 or 2007.

Graphs, drawings and photographs are inserted in the text after the first mention of them in the form convenient for the author.

The captions (14 pins, normal) are in the center after the word Fig:

- under the illustrations in the center after the word Fig. with the ordinal number (14 pins, regular);

- above the table with an off to the right after the word Table with a serial number (14 pins, usual). If there is only one figure then the table in the text is not numbered.

 

Appendix 2

Structure of the article:

UDC code

Title (in English).

Name, patronymic and surname of the author in English.

After the indent: information about the author in English: organization, country, e-mail.

After the indent: abstract - 150-300 words (in English), keywords - up to 10 words (in English). Key words are separated by a comma, typed in bold italics.

After the indent: the text of the article (in English or Russian).

The ARTICLE TEXT STRUCTURE consists of:

  1. Introduction (formulates the essence of the research, briefly discusses the current state of the issue, sets the goal and corresponding research objectives);
  2. Materials and methods (materials and methods are described in detail);
  3. Discussion (the discussion describes which of the authors were involved in the topic of research);
  4. Results (the main part of the article);
  5. Conclusion (conclusions);
  6. Acknowledgements (acknowledgements to colleagues who helped collect material or provided valuable advice or counsel, as well as sources of funding for the work)

Literature (in its original language). The Literature section should include at least 15 references to literature or sources, in alphabetical order.

TITLE (in Russian)

The name and surname of the author in Russian

information about the author in Russian: organization, country, e-mail

abstract - no less than 150 words (in Russian), key words - up to 10 words (in Russian).

 

Appendix 3

Examples of bibliographic references

The list of references completes the article and is published under the title "References". In the section "Literature / References" must give a detailed bibliographic description, indicating: full name (surname and initials) of the author; title of the work; name of the collection or journal; number of issue or volume and its name (for continuing editions); name of the editor (for continuing editions and collections of articles); place of publication; year of publication; volume / issue number (for magazines); number / range of pages. If a reference to a collection of articles is given, instead of the author's name, either the name of the responsible editor (or compiler) of the collection or one or two words from the title of the collection may be given. If a reference is made to material whose author or compiler is not known (newspaper article, etc.), one or two words from the beginning of the title of the material are also indicated (Letters and Telegrams, 2009 ). When referring to articles or books written jointly by two authors, both authors are indicated (Anisimov and Ryzhenkov, 2019: 61). When referring to articles or books written jointly by three or more authors, the name of the first author should be given and "et al. (Ivanov et al., 2019); for foreign publications, "et al. (Smith et al., 2001). When referring to works by the same author published in the same year, one should distinguish the works by adding Latin letters a, b, c to the year of publication (Molchanov, 2006a; Molchanov, 2006b). The archival sources in the text are disclosed in full: (NA RK. F. 12. Op. 31. D. 1154. P. 89).

Transliteration. You can automate the transliteration process using the software available at http://translit.ru (select BSI from the "Options" drop-down list). After automatic transliteration, you should manually check the correctness of the result and make any necessary corrections. Transliterated references should contain only elements meaningful for analytical processing (names of authors, title of the original source, output data). In the list of references, the titles of works in languages using non-Latinized alphabets should be translated into English and enclosed in square brackets; the titles of sources should be transliterated, and the original language in square brackets should be indicated at the end. In the case of book citations, the name of the publisher (if it is the name of the institution) should be translated into English, in all other cases - transliterated, the place of publication - translated.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.

  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).

  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.
